I'm participating in Hoist For Hospice 2026. 🏗️
This unique fundraising event will elevate me to new heights, to raise funds for Fitzroy Community Hospice. I am being hoisted up 8-20 metres in the air inside the work box of a crane on Wednesday 13 May 2026. To come back down again, I must raise at least $5,000 for the Hospice! The event will take place at CQLX Gracemere from 6:30am and the spectacle will be fully visible from the Capricorn Highway.
This uplifting FUNdraising event will bolster the provision of palliative care and bereavement support services in Central Queensland. As a local charity, all funds raised for Fitzroy Community Hospice will stay locally and will benefit our local community.

My Story
We are biting the bullet (or our nails) so to speak, by deciding to participate in this year's Hoist for Hospice. Both of us have a real fear of heights, but agree that participating in the hoist to raise money for the Fitzroy Community Hospice is worth battle against our fears.
The work, care and support that the hospice gives to patients and families during a truly difficult time is worth so much to all who have need of this facility. A little bit of time 8-20m up in the air facing our fears is well worth it to help raise funds to keep their wonderful work going.
We would love for you to help us out as much as you can with our fundraising and sharing this link and if next Wednesday between 6.30-9.00am you are driving past the CQLX complex give us a toot and a wave!!!
