I'm participating in Hoist For Hospice 2026. 🏗️
This unique fundraising event will elevate me to new heights, to raise funds for Fitzroy Community Hospice. I am being hoisted up 8-20 metres in the air inside the work box of a crane on Wednesday 13 May 2026. To come back down again, I must raise at least $5,000 for the Hospice! The event will take place at CQLX Gracemere from 6:30am and the spectacle will be fully visible from the Capricorn Highway.
This uplifting FUNdraising event will bolster the provision of palliative care and bereavement support services in Central Queensland. As a local charity, all funds raised for Fitzroy Community Hospice will stay locally and will benefit our local community.

It is happening tomorrow!!! Wednesday 13 May, please donate. $5000 is my pledge, very happy to exceed this target to help fund the Fitzroy Hospice. Did you know, they provide this service for FREE to residents of Central Queensland, so the more donations, the better.

I have a real fear of heights, previous years I’ve donated, donating is my safe option. 2024 and 2025 I was asked to participate, dates clashed with work, I breathed huge sighs of relief.
2026, I’ve been asked again to participate, I’m being very brave and have registered.
Not sure how I am going to manage my phobia of heights, but when I’m dangling from the crane, I’ll be thinking about all the people who are supporting me through donating. Fingers crossed if I focus on you and your donations, I’m hoping to get through being hoisted in the air for 15 minutes, that’s 900 seconds!!!
