I'm participating in Hoist For Hospice 2025.
This unique fundraising event will elevate me to new heights, to raise funds for Fitzroy Community Hospice. I am being hoisted 8-20 metres up in the air inside the work box of a crane on Friday 16 May, and to come down I need to raise a minimum of $5,000. The event will take place at JRT Group at 7 Cassam Street, Yeppoon (visible from Yeppoon Road).
This uplifting FUNdraising event will bolster the provision of palliative care and support services in Central Queensland. As a local charity, all funds raised for Fitzroy Community Hospice will stay locally and will benefit our local community.

A very good friend of mine recently had a family member pass away at the hospice and she has shared her thoughts for me.
"As a relative of a family member who passed away recently at the Fitzroy Community Hospice the hospitality and kindness we experienced was second to none. During our time of sadness the hospice provided our family members with a beautiful place to say our final good byes.

With views overlooking the airport and golf course, the option & facilities to bring in the favourite family pets, outside garden areas, ample car parking and ability of family members and visitors to come and go at any time was much appreciated and so hassle free.
The kitchen area was used a lot & there were large lounge chairs and other comfortable areas to rest. The staff, despite being very busy, tried their hardest to comfort the family in the final days. The hospice was a godsend in our time of need!"
